I can't quite believe I've reached the grand old age of 49 without ever having blogged before, but as they say there is a first time for everything. Having spent the last 5 years saying we really must get a new website Sarah (my partner in crime) and I have finally invested the time to completely reimagine our website (and in the process get rid of some very unflattering photos of the two of us!)
The main reason we wanted a new site was to be able to use it as a way of sharing the knowledge and insight we have gained through our work with voluntary and community groups as a way of giving something back to a sector that we have had the privilege of working with for the past 25 years.
The plan is to write a monthly blog, (you can hold us to that), covering a range of subjects relating to our work and distilling some of the lessons we have learnt along the way. We hope to give you some top tips that you can put into practice and share our thoughts on some of the big issues facing the sector.
In return we hope you will share your views and advice based on your own experiences, comment and let us know if there are any subjects you would like us to write about. Oh and if you haven't done so already sign up to the website and you'll receive a notification every time we post new content.
Let the blogging commence......
